What is a Polypropylene Carpet?

Polypropylene carpet is made from synthetic fibres which are both soft and hard-wearing. Polypropylene carpets are incredibly popular as they are stain resistant and bleach cleanable, making them ideal for any home, but particularly those with children or pets. In fact, polypropylene carpets were originally designed to be used outside, so they are able to cope with a reasonable amount of moisture, making them suitable for any room in your home – even the bathroom.

Clean Carpets

An excellent benefit of polypropylene carpet is that they are incredibly easy to clean and maintain. Firstly, unlike wool carpets, the fibres in polypropylene carpets are not porous. This means that they do not hold any unpleasant smells from the likes of pets or any spillages.

Polypropylene carpet is also naturally stain resistant, so there is no need to worry about any spillages, as they are easy to clean off a polypropylene carpet. This is possible again, due to the lack of pores in the carpet. Furthermore, polypropylene carpets are incredibly easy to clean, as any spillages tend to sit on top of the fibres, so you simply need to wipe the spill off of the carpet and it will look good as new. You can even clean polypropylene carpets with bleach. Due to the easy cleaning properties of polypropylene carpet, it is an excellent choice for family homes.

Beautiful Carpet

While carpets are available in a wide range of synthetic materials, polypropylene is an incredibly affordable and beautiful option for any home. Polypropylene carpets look great in any room, and are available in a range of stunning colours. Furthermore, polypropylene carpets do not lose their colouration very easily as they are dyed with strong colour solutions to ensure the colour is durable and long lasting.

Water Resistant

Another great benefit of polypropylene carpets is the water resistant properties. This makes polypropylene carpets incredibly easy to clean and suitable for use in any room. Whether it is your living room or bathroom, you can be sure that a polypropylene carpet is a great option for you.
